What Can I Do to Make My Whole Body Detox More Effective?

First of all let's look at why we detox. Why we should go on a whole body detox and the risks that we take not going on a detox program.

There are dangerous chemicals and toxins that are housed throughout our body and more specifically in certain organs. These organs are actually used to keep these toxins out, by storing them themselves. Some of them include the liver (most importantly), then there is the kidneys and the digestive system.

Feeling constipated, bogged down, fatigued and just down right weak most of the time. Well it is time for a whole body detox to take care of it for you.

Okay, so what in the world is a whole body detox?

You will want to make sure that you take your time to totally, completely and easily remove the toxins from your body. If you try one of those quick fix diets, it can actually cause harm to your body and it doesn't work as well. A whole body detox consists of taking the proper vitamin supplements. Then of course the foods that you consume make all the difference in the world.

First of all, you want to make sure that you are eating raw vegetables and fruits that are not ladened with chemicals and pesticides. Enhance your whole body detox by drinking plenty of water. Preferably distilled water, because tap water has chlorine and other harmful chemicals in it.

To get the most of your whole body detox, you will want to make sure that you stay on it for at least 28 days. This way you go through the process at a slower pace and it doesn't overwhelm your body. Also, you want to reap the full benefits of completely cleansing your entire body and all of the organs. Especially those that aid in cleansing toxins out on a regular basis.

Finding the best whole body detox method is not hard to do. There are natural ways that you can accomplish just that. you will never feel better. Also, note that it is highly recommended that you detox at least twice a year and also eat as healthy as possible.

Always make sure that you talk to your doctor or health care professional before starting a new whole body detox diet. He or she will definitely know what the best method is for you and they will also know what supplement is right for you as well.

Be sure that you drink plenty of water as well. Water is essential in any detox program because it helps to remove the toxins from your system as well as replace necessary nutrients.

It is highly recommended to take part of a whole body detox, because it is in your best interest. Your body will definitely love you for it.

Recommended foods:

Raw veggies
Raw fruits
Raw honey
Olive oil
No salt peanuts
Sea salt
Distilled drinking water
Whole fruit juices (no concentrated or imitation)
A supplemental vitamin that contains recommended ingredients (ask your doctor)

Body Detox - How to Do It?

Why do you need body detox? How does body detox help to improve your health? Today, your body's natural detox mechanisms are so overloaded with chemicals that bombard you on a daily basis through food, water, air pollution and things that you apply to your skin that it needs a helping hand through body detox. It's a sad fact that chemical toxins that your detox systems were never designed to deal with are being stored in your body weakening your immune system, leading to poor health and even cancer.

Your detox system deals with substances that result from everyday metabolism too. If these substances are not got rid of because the detox routes are not coping they can build up and become toxins themselves adding to the burden.

Do you ever feel sluggish, run down, out of energy, bloated? A good body detox can work wonders. Researchers have shown that if you suffer from low energy, digestive problems, skin and hair problems, have trouble sleeping, chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia, weight problems and many others they can be improved with body detox.

Many people are frustrated with the drug approach to fixing health problems. They often have side effects and you end up taking another drug to relieve the side effects of the first. Drugs certainly have their place in emergency medicine but they are not a cure for many chronic health problems.

Doctors, naturopaths and other health practitioners who were not satisfied with the drug approach have pondered on the underlying cause of disease and have all agreed that it is toxicity and deficiency of nutrients.

Giving your body's natural body detox system a helping hand by reducing the toxicity and rectifying the deficiencies is probably one of the best things you can do for yourself. So how do you do it? There are a number of different approaches that include a raw food diet, vegetarian diet, fresh vegetable and fruit juicing, juice feasting, green smoothies, eating for your metabolic type, herbal detox, liver and gall bladder flush, colon cleansing and the use of specially designed rice based powdered detox formulas or other detox support supplements.

With so many different ways to detox your body how do you know which one to choose? If you are a beginner then it's probably best to start with the basics and work up to the juice fasting as you become more experienced. The basic rules are:

  • Reduce your toxic exposure by avoiding chemical based household cleansers and using natural personal care products.
  • Free up energy for detox by giving your digestive system a rest form hard to digest foods like red meat, wheat products.
  • Gradually reduce animal products and fats including hydrogenated fats.
  • Avoid nutrient robbers like sugar, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, additives, fizzy drinks, coffee, alcohol.
  • Drink only filtered or ionized water. Have 6 - 8 x 8 oz glasses a day.
  • Eat organic wherever possible to avoid pesticides.
  • Increase fresh fruit and vegetables both raw and gently cooked.
  • Make sure your bowels are moving at least twice a day and do a bowel cleanse to make sure toxins are eliminated fast.
  • Take a good detox support supplement.
  • Do some exercise even if you can only manage brisk walking or gentle rebounding on a mini trampoline.
  • De-stress. Get some rest and relaxation. Stress will hinder your body detox.

Once you have done this then you are on your way to a healthier body and lifestyle. The detoxification of a lifetimes store of toxins does not happen overnight so persevere with the healthy basics. You can then follow more specific body detox programs that include some green smoothies or fresh juicing that will increase the cleansing power. Once you eliminate toxins and give your body nutritious food you will start to lose those niggling symptoms and find radiant health!

A Full Body Detox

Body detox is among the best ways of keeping ourselves clean and healthy, besides other methods such as special diets, vitamin supplements, natural therapies, and so on. An important step in a full body detox is to restore or also to replenish energy levels to make you more alert in different areas of your life, such as at work. A body cleanse or body detox is also a great way to give your body a boost after a night of over-indulgence, eating all the wrong foods and consuming more alcohol than is healthy. That is why body detox is needed because some mortals are having this kind of lifestyle.

The human body has a built in detox system that removes harmful substances from the body through excretion but when we put pressure on it by eating unhealthy foods, drinking too much alcohol and not getting enough sleep the system is weakened. At one time, the need for a natural body detox seemed to apply only to those who suffered from some form of drug or alcohol dependency. The pollution your body is exposed to daily, and your consumption of various types of junk food, coffee, aerated drinks, alcohol etc leads to the accumulation of various toxins in your body. Initially known for elimination of excessive alcohol and drugs from the body, detox is now being used more extensively for the process of elimination of any kind of toxins that may be present in the body. A full body detox diet plan using raw vegetables and fresh fruits is especially recommended for young individuals whose bodies have been subjected to high levels of alcohol, burgers and pizzas.

Today's refined diets, stressful lifestyles antibiotics or other health problems can deplete the body's natural store of these little miracle workers and upset the delicate balance or eubiosis. There are numerous other methods to detox your body, such as through herbal tea and supplements, in addition to specialized diets and spa programs. Body detox diets vary but typically involve eating or drinking nothing but raw, steamed or gently stir-fried vegetables and fruit, pulses, sprouted seeds, thin soups, juices and plain cereals such as brown rice, millet or buckwheat. Mediterranean diets are low on fat and carbohydrates and they provide us with healthy alternative to the oily food we consume every day.

Start using the benefit of exercise to cleanse and detoxify your body. Exercise increases oxygen to your system and raises your body temperature, in effect combining oxygen therapy and hyperthermia. Exercise detoxification is an effective method of cleansing many vital organs simultaneously and should become a regular part of your life. There are tons of exercise programs and plans out there, or just walking for at least 12-15 minutes a day is beneficial to the colon function. The simplest form of administering oxygen therapy is through a simple deep breathing exercise.

The increase in the amount of toxins in the body results in stress in the immune system that eventually breaks down due to overwork. If you are interested in the idea of detoxing and want to receive the fastest results possible, then what you are going to want to do is find a quick detox diet, a body detox that is going to offer you quick results. Planning a Safe Detox and Foods For Detox

In the cities that we lived, we could have been living with pollution knowingly or unknowingly. Our normal daily routine could be using municipalized water that had been treated and smelled of chlorine, walking down that stretch of road crowded with cars at every turn, having that rich, processed and junk food daily, indulging with a cigarette every hour, more coffee in the afternoon, a little alcohol on some nights and off to bed for that few hours of sleep.

For some of us, our contact with sport is being a spectator cheering our favorite team or in front of the television. A much sedate life for many years indeed and if you yearn for a more active and more energetic life, detoxing should be on your card next.

A clear picture to bear in mind is that our body is capable of detoxing itself naturally by having the correct diet.

Detoxing should be planned and not taken lightly. Care should be taken to follow a safe detoxing diet and with light activities but detoxing should not be deemed as dangerous.

In fact, detoxing is rather rewarding, practice with common sense and together with moderation in place. This is important as you body could be releasing toxins and heavy metal and you could feel something different.

Detoxing could caused some changes to your body biologically and you could experienced some side-effects, depending on the level of toxicity that you are before.

To fast or not to fast?

Fasting during detoxing had became a much debated subject. While fasting is good for not adding more toxins into your body, it was mired with controversies that your body could crave for anything that it can get within and make use of it. Moreover, your liver is experiencing a release of toxins and could be overwhelmed by the "vacuum" or lightness of the state now.

The safe detox guide

The key to a safe detox plan is moderation in diet. In addition, a sensible diet and healthy lifestyle to ensure this detox plan works.

First of all, this sensible diet is not difficult to attain but could be difficult to implement through lack of self discipline.

To start with, a sensible diet to facilitate detoxing is the type of food for our meals. Our meals must never included any processed food as most processed food, if not all, contained some kind of preservatives, coloring, food flavorings, food enhancers and a high level of salt and sugar. Junk food is also strictly not recommended as most of these junk food are fried which inevitably tends to be oily.

During detoxing, eating whole food and plenty of fruits and vegetables is ideal. Organic food is highly advocated as it is generally void of pesticide which became toxins in our body.

Organic produce

Organic produce may be more expensive but it is worth the money, after all, you would want to do something to facilitate your detox plan. An alternative is remove the skins of vegetables like potato and carrot so as to reduce the level of pesticide in your cooking. For leafy vegetable, do go for organic. Likewise for fruits, this could save you some money.

Most of the vegetables and fruits could be found at your local store. Vegetables like garlic, onions, broccoli and kale are recommended just before going for a detox diet.

Fruits are also recommended during detoxing but as some fruits can contain a level of sugar, try to have fruits in the early part of the day, between your breakfast and lunch, that is, two or three hours before or after any other meals. When having fruit for detoxification purposes, try to eat the fruits fresh and not with any other food. Fruits including melons, berries, citrus fruits, bananas, apples and nectarines are good for detoxing.

By doing so, your body could start to experience a "mini" purging of toxins. To aid this, you must drink plenty of water. Beverages like coffee and tea are to be avoided.

Supporting your detox plan

An important area is to ensure that you take some herbs that support detoxification and are healthy for your liver, lungs and kidneys.

Artichokes, beets, dandelion and milk thistle are highly recommended during detoxification. Other herbs include parsley, turmeric, chamomile, marshmallow, slippery elm, goldenseal and ginger. Onions and cauliflower are also good in detoxify the liver. The humble parsley, often used as a garnish, actually is good for detoxing as parsley is a powerful tonic that flushes the kidneys.

As your liver and other organs are undergoing cleansing process, it is important to include amino acids and protein in your diet so as to help the body organs to function well. It is advisable to include some nuts and vitamin supplements to replace the vitamins and minerals your body needed.

The humble garlic

Garlic, also known as king of herbs, had been used as a health food is a potent blood cleanser which aids in the detoxification process. The best way to eat gat garlic is to have it raw or easily mash it up, wait for 10 minutes for the active chemicals to activate before consumption.

Once you had gone through a detox plan, it is advisable to have it periodically.

The day after

The next thing is not to indulge yourself with unhealthy food after a detox. Eating healthy in moderation is the next best idea to keep your body in optimum condition. Detoxing give you a good feeling in the short term and sensible and healthy diet had long term benefits.

Water is very important after detox too. Most supplied water are not adequately filter for body in the long run so it is good to invest in a good drinking water filtration system. A good filtration system removes much chemical and chlorine so as to reduce the intake of toxins by drinking or use as cooking.

Are Detox Diets Just Another Fad?

Detox diets promise to rid your body of all its dreadful toxins. There are numerous detox diets to choose from along with supplemental pills or herbal concoctions. These diets can also cause rapid weight loss but they usually advertise specifically about body cleansing. Body cleansing flushes your body of poisons and toxins that have accumulated in our bodies. Detox diets can consist of a regimen that can be harmful. Detox diets, like fad diets deliver a lot of empty promises. A detox diet sometimes involves fasting which can have dangerous side effects.

Fad diets why are they bad is because they advertise as a healthy detox method, when they can be harmful. The premise of detoxifying is that we must rid our bodies of toxins from the manufactured foods that we eat. Some detox diets even claim anti-aging benefits. Detox diets are often associated with the rich and famous who go to exotic spas to detoxify. What they are really doing is dropping weight fast.

History reveals that Hipocrates promoted fasting to cleanse the body. Fasting has been around for centuries. Fasting was done for religious reasons, in part to purify the body.

Detox diets or Cleansing diets often consist of some period of fasting. There are juice detoxifying diets and colon detoxifying diets. Other detox diets include lemonade detox, maple syrup detox, or a diet that only allows fruits and vegetables or a certain fruit or vegetable.

There are no proven medical benefits to detoxifying the body. There are not enough studies done to test the safety of detox dieting. The medical experts do say that many people should avoid them such as children, pregnant women, people with liver disease and diabetes. Anyone with a chronic medical disorder should avoid them.

Everyone should avoid detox dieting. Medical experts say that our own body detoxifies all by itself if you have a healthy, liver, lymph system, kidneys and hormone levels. The human body has this amazing capability and detox diets are not necessary or promoted by medicine.

Detox dieting has the same ingredients of any other fad diet. The signs of a fad diet include: they are meant to be short term, drastic calorie restriction, diet promises are not met, they focus on one food type or group over another, cause rapid weight loss and do not teach you anything about how to eat a healthy balanced diet.

More than three days of detoxifying or fasting can decrease the bodys supply of vitamins and minerals. One scientific study showed there was no difference in the blood chemistry of the detox dieters than those on a normal diet. Blood chemistry can be tested to monitor how the liver and kidneys are functioning.

Fad diets why are they bad is because a detox diet is just another fad diet and an unhealthy way to lose weight. There are no medical benefits and to many harmful risks such nutritional deficiencies, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and weakness.

The only way to lose weight is on a healthy balanced plan with exercise, which can than guide you into a healthy way to eat for the rest of your life. Detox diets are not necessary and can be harmful. Our bodies detoxify themselves.

The Total Body Detox - From Head to Toe and Inside Out

The detoxification of the body is not just changing your diet; it is about changing your lifestyle. This is why a full body detox is important. A full body detox removes toxins and rejuvenates the body in a variety of different ways. You will want to make use of all the parts of the body that are designed to help expel the toxins that are brought into it.

The first thing to do with a full body detox is to change your diet so that you are providing your body with all the nutrients it needs. These are things like omega fatty acids, amino acids, and antioxidants. These encourage your body to remove the toxins before they are stored. You will want to increase fiber as well as decrease the amount of toxins you introduce by switching to organic foods.

There are some toxins however that can not be removed through diet changes alone and this is why a full body detox is essential if you are going to get the greatest benefit from removing toxins from your body. You will want to look into mediation. Not only does this relax you, which helps to keep your body functioning in a pattern, and way that is right for it but stress increases the effect of toxins and can even increase the number of toxins that are created within the body.

By reducing the amount of stress you feel you can help to reduce the toxins within your body. Mediation also teaches breathing techniques and for a full body detox these techniques are essential. There are a number of gaseous toxins that can be removed from the body through the proper breathing techniques. These techniques are important to full body detox processes because they help to supply the oxygen in the blood.

You are also going to want to consider your skin when you look into a full body detox. A full body detox also makes use of the skin, which not only absorbs a large number of environmental toxins but can also help to expel them. This is why dry skin brushing and using sweating techniques along with detoxifying body wraps can help to give you a full body detox by making full use of your skin as one of the ways to remove toxins from your body.

The human body is an amazing tool and given the right fuel it can provide you with everything you need to live a long and healthy life. Toxins from the foods you eat and the very environment itself have been attributed to many of the chronic breathing, fatigue, stress and pain issues that have been becoming more and more frequent in the health care community. By taking the time to do a full body detox and make use of your body's own natural way of detoxification and by taking the necessary time to do it in you can lead a healthier, happier and longer life while looking younger and feeling better than you ever have before.
